6 Week Stress Management Programme – £750

(9 hour course) Stress Less Management Programme | Detox on Demand

“The human body at peace with itself is more precious than the rarest gem’’

Research from the Health and Safety Executive cites stress, depression or anxiety and musculoskeletal disorders accounting for the majority of working days, lost due to work-related ill health, 10.4 and 7.5 million days respectively.

What is Stress?

“Stress arises when individuals perceive that they cannot adequately cope with the demands being made on them, or with threats to their well-being.”

Stress is an everyday occurrence, which is inevitable. It can come from a host of sources such as:

  • Environment– traffic, noise, pollution, pollen
  • Social  Stressors– work deadlines, disagreements, demands for your time, the loss of loved ones, financial problems,
  • Psychological – Negative thoughts, poor nutrition, illness, menopause, headaches, stomach upset, anxiety, muscle tension

How you perceive and label your present experience and forsee your future can either relax or stress you.  When we consider them as stressful they create emotional toxins.

Fight or Flight Response

It is widely acknowledged that the ‘fight or flight’ response kicks in whether there is real danger or a perceived threat or danger.

In both cases biochemical changes are made in the body in preparation of dealing with the real or imagined danger.  These biochemical changes include muscle tension, an increase in heart rate, breathing rate, metabolism and blood pressure, cold hands and feet, shutting down the digestive system, dilation of pupils, sharpening of vision and more acute earing.

During periods of prolonged stress the fight or flight response continues relentlessly.  Crucial functions of your body start to shut down as your adrenal glands produce hormones, (adrenaline, or epinephrine, norepinephrine and cortisol), which impair digestion, reproduction, tissue repair and growth. You immune system is weakened and inflammation is triggered.

Chronic Stress and Disease

Persistent or chronic stress can have serious adverse effects on your health. Chronic stress can accumulate from small stressors, which build up without you having a chance to recover from any of them. Alternatively it can derive from a number of other sources such as a divorce, a major reorganisation at work, a life-threatening or chronic disease.

This causes the body to remain on high alert, keeps your nervous system in sympathetic overdrive as you continue to perceive a threat or danger. Remaining on this stress continuum can result in a stress related disease.

The Stress-Less Programme

This powerful 6-week programme helps you take back control by detoxing stress from your life. Stress-Less is a highly personalised programme, as no two people have identical stressors.  A stress management programme will be designed to target your specific sources of stress and goals.

You will be able to identify and remove your stress triggers and gain effective coping skills to manage stress. A range of potent techniques and strategies will be employed from:

Neurolinguistic-Programming (NLP)

NLP will help you release negative self talk and behaviour patterns, over-thinking, negative beliefs,  anxiety and anger. waterfall in nature You will be able to take action, achieve tangible outcomes, boost self esteem, feel more confident, change your limiting internal images, feelings and sounds and program your mind for success.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis facilitates profound physical and mental relaxation. It activates your parasympathetic nervous system which governs relaxation. Parasympathetic nervous stimulation reverses the effects of sympathetic nervous system, i.e the fight or flight response.

Equally, direct access to your subconscious mind can be made where all your behaviours stem from and inexhaustible resources reside.  Beneficial suggestions can be made to your subconscious mind resulting in positive change in your life. Gain insights on your stressors and tap into your inner resources to resolve challenges that have been stressing you.

 Nutrition

When we are stressed our bodies use up valuable nutrients. Furthermore, we do not always eat a balanced diet when we are busy,  under pressure or feeling overwhelmed. With little time to prepare a healthy meal you are more tempted to grab fast foods and drinks loaded with stimulants and additives, high in fat and sugar. These foods keep your body in that sympathetic ‘fight or flight’ state.

During the Stress-Less Programme your eating habits will be assessed and your diet optimised to help promote health, combat stress and tension and avoid unhealthy eating behaviour.

A healthy diet helps your body cope with pressure and stress. Eating well can prevent heart disease, indigestion, constipation, high blood pressure, hypoglycemia and diabetes.  It also lessens irritability, headaches and fatigue.

Reiki

Reiki Healing is instantly calming. It raises your body’s vibration to that of health and balance.  By increasing one’s vibration, so in turn one’s health and well-being is improved. Over time the body becomes more resilient to stress, so you can cope better with daily stress and challenges.

Qigong

Qigong movements work on the meridian system, like in acupuncture, but without the needles.  You will learn exercises to unblock energy paths and to calm, balance and clear negative emotions, which you can integrate into your daily life. You will be equipped with efficacious tools to combat stress and anxiety. This leads to a boost in your life force energy and immunity.

You will learn how to cope better with stress so that you can enjoy your life and Stress Less.
