Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also go with everything.
