Cosmetic/Facial Acupunture, also known as Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture,  is an excellent, non-surgical alternative to anti-ageing surgery, botox, fillers, injections and other chemical methods.

Widely used globally for its remarkable efficacy and safety, it has been part of beauty regimes in Asia for thousands of years. More recently, celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna and Cher have endorsed this natural, painless, beauty treatment.

How does it Work?

Small, hair-thin acupuncture needles are inserted into specific areas of the face and neck along channels or meridians of energy called Qi, to increase the flow of energy and reduce the signs of ageing.

More than a cosmetic procedure, it exercises, firms and tones your facial muscles to induce healthy, radiant, younger-looking skin. Furthermore, it has the extra benefit of acupunture, which de-stresses, revitalises and rejuvenates the whole body to look and feel younger.

How Effective is it?

A 1996 study reported in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture stated that among 300 cases treated with Cosmetic Acupunture, 90% had marked results with a course of treatments.

They experienced a lessening of lines, clearer skin tone, improved elasticity of facial muscles, subtle tightening and overall rejuvenation, not limited to the face.

Cosmetic Acupunture can take 5 to 10 years off your face within a few treatments. You will notice fine lines disappear and larger wrinkles fill over sessions.

The changes made by Cosmetic Acupunture are at a cellular level; therefore it targets the underlying factors contributing to the ageing process.

Benefits of Cosmetic Acupunture:
  • Accelerates cell regeneration, filling and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Stimulates collagen to plump up the skin
  • Tightens face and neck muscles

How many sessions will I need?

From the first session many people notice firmer skin, better complexion, improved muscle tone and brighter eyes. Results vary depending on the individual’s skin condition.

To achieve long lasting results, generally 10-12 weekly treatments are recommended. You would normally start to see an improvement after 4 – 6 sessions. The results tend to have a cumulative effect, with the improvements becoming most noticeable and lasting after 6 to 8 treatments. This depends on your condition, diet and lifestyle before the treatment.
